blah blah blah

He was walking his big dog

A little shitsu…Lol (sorry i shouldn’t be dwarfist)

He works in the town chip shop. Altho you hardly ever see him. He’s behind underneath the counter usually.

I said hello. He said hello back.

In quite a large voice.

Spuming sea

At Preston Sands Paignton.

The sea spumes and spurts over here. Takes on the sea barrier and jumps it – with ease.

Not as spumey or spurty as it can sometimes get.

But i was trying out the fab new Lumix.

Dragonfly Pond No 2

Dragonfly pond at Stover Park again.

This time taken with new Lumix camera. It’s got so many ways to manipulate how you take the pic – but i set it to “Intelligent Auto” and did point and click. Will take a few weeks playing with the camera to get into it.

I like reflections in water. This pic isn’t bad, but needs a lot of “emptying away” to get to something more crystal clear.

Guess i’ll be going back to this Dragonfly Pond again.

A phone pic

I used my phone to take pics in Torquay today. One or 2 turned out ok.

Behind is that hot air balloon.

Thre’s a bit of a wavy warp going on at the bottom of the pic which i quite like.

But i still need to buy another camera.

Nil nil against Bury

There’s our Deano giving his adoring fans a clap as the teams troop out for the kick-off.

sp_a0013-1

He’s been injured for a few weeks.

Exeter are going thro a mini slump (haven’t won in 3 games)

In the first half they were playing against a strong gusting wind. Bury – or “Buhreh” as the handful of away fans were singing – were all over them.

In the second half it was a more even contest, but ended up as a 0-0 draw. I’ve yet to see City play a good game this season.

As usual i was looking at other things other than the game. Like the family in front of me; 2 boys with mom and dad. A nice middle-class family unit. Wife was continually chattering into her husbands left ear. He was continually smiling. They clapped alot. Seemed to be into it. Enjoying their family footie on a Saturday afternoon.

Its a family club is Exeter.

Budapesht (minus the pics)

Been to Budapest this week. Took loads of fantastic pics.

And then left my camera behind on the train back to the airport!

But the pictures in my head will stay, unforgettably, for some time

of the guy sleeping under Szechenyi bridge buried under a mound of blankets….it was -6….

of the hippo with his mouth open wide in beautiful Budapest zoo….

of floating in the steamy thermal baths….

of the 2 men footballing on the ice-lake…

of the old man fishing in the steamy pond…

of the cripple begging between the cars….

of the cold my hands felt on Tuesday…..

and…. leaving my camera behind on that friggin train….Lol….

Anyway, i took a few pics with my phone at the airport. This the plane back to Bristol

sp_a0011-1It was an irritating flight back.

Probably cus i was in a mood about losing the camera.

Oh well.

I’ve ordered another, different, camera off Amazon.

I had to learn a very important – and ironic – lesson in letting go.

I realized the point of the trip wasn’t to be taking pictures of Budapest. it was the being in Budapest.

That’s what matters. Always.

The being with whatever my life is.

At all times.

On how to disappear up your own backside

plymouth-045-12What do you make of that sign?

Do you – like i do -  find it aggressive?

It infers that customers – you and i – are stupid (“if you like high prices”) and can fuck off (go elsewhere”)

There’s blame going on; an insulting, threatening tone.

I imagine going in and saying “You haven’t charged me enough for this greasy pile of shitty chips” (altho not saying “greasy” or “shitty” obviously) – and some thunk-headed lunk barging out from behind the counter, grabbing me by scruff of  neck and shoving me arse over heels onto the pavement snarling “Go Elsewhere!

This cafe needs some BBC2 makeover programme guru person to advise them on how to encouragingly, and warmly, invite people in.

Into their rubbishy shit-hole  (Lol)

The Dragonfly Pond

At Stover Park again

The dragonflies and their damsels are keeping themselves warm deep down below (actually they’re called nymphs when they live in the water)

The tree rooted in still reflection on the water.

The pond as silent as a sleeping ice maiden.

The Ice Lake

In Stover Park.

It must have frozen overnight and slowly thawed during the day. Stones thrown to break it up.

I wonder whether anybody tried walking all the way across?

Not a duck in sight. Too cold and icy for them. They’d all gathered in the warmer slipstream at the back. But unfortunately it got too dark for me to get pics of their comical slipping and sliding.

The “spoiled rotten dog”

Saw this outside a cafe in Ashburton. One of those chintzy china tea cup with sliced lemon drizzle cake kind of cafes.

Plus this slobbery fat old dog sniffing smellily around his (and your) balls.

I ought to go in there just to tease him with my toasted tea cake (Lol)

Dangle it where his “licker” can’t reach……
